Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you:

  • visit the website geeks0n-byte.github.io (the "Website"), including the game pages and the browser version of Spaceblox;
  • play Spaceblox for Android, distributed on Google Play (the "App").

1. Who is responsible (data controller)

The controller of personal data processed through the Website and the App is Giga Sichinava (publisher name "gix0n"), an individual developer based in Warsaw, Poland.

Contact: giga.sichinava@gmail.com

Because the controller is established in Poland, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies.

2. Summary

  • You do not need an account to play.
  • Spaceblox stores your progress and settings on your device (or in your browser). We do not run our own servers for game saves.
  • The Website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and Google AdSense to show ads. Where the law requires it, these only use cookies or similar technologies after you give consent through our consent tool.
  • The Android App uses Google AdMob for ads. From version 1.1.0, it also uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, and offers optional Google Play Games sign-in.
  • The Website and games are not directed at anyone under 13 (see section 10).
  • We do not sell your personal information.

3. Information processed on the Website

3.1 Hosting

The Website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). When you load any page, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. GitHub may log this information for security and to operate its service. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.

3.2 Your consent choices

We use Google's certified consent management platform (Google AdSense "Privacy & messaging"). When you first visit from a region where consent is required, including the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a message asks you to choose whether cookies and similar technologies may be used for advertising and analytics. Your choices are stored in your browser so that the message is not shown on every page.

You can review or change your choices when Google's consent message is shown again, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

3.3 Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Website is used: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and basic gameplay events in the browser version of Spaceblox (for example, a level started or completed). Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga. This helps us see which pages and games people find useful.

Analytics data is kept only for the retention period configured in our Google Analytics property and is then deleted automatically by Google. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. More information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

3.4 Google AdSense and advertising cookies

Ads on the Website, including ads in the browser version of Spaceblox (for example, between levels or when you choose to watch an ad for extra hints), are served by Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Learn how Google uses cookies in advertising: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Google and its partners may process identifiers stored in cookies or local storage, your IP address, device and browser information, and your interactions with ads.

Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: our Google-certified consent management platform, which is integrated with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, asks for your consent before cookies or local storage are used for advertising, and before personalised ads are shown. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention, as your choices allow. We use Google Consent Mode, so Google tags respect your choices.

3.5 Fonts and embedded content

  • The fonts on this site are served from the site itself, so loading a page does not send your data to a font provider.
  • The Spaceblox page embeds the game trailer from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies or store data on your device when you play the video. See the Google Privacy Policy.

3.6 Spaceblox in the browser

The browser version stores your progress, settings and in-progress levels in your browser's storage on your device. This data is not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data for geeks0n-byte.github.io deletes it. Cloud save is not available in the browser version.

4. Information processed by the Spaceblox Android App

4.1 Stored on your device

The App stores game progress (unlocked levels, stars, best times and achievements), settings (language, sound, background and colorblind mode), optional in-progress levels and internal counters used to space out ads. This data stays on your device unless you use Google Play Games cloud save.

4.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect your advertising ID, IP address, device information, approximate location derived from your IP address and ad interaction data. In the EEA, the UK and similar regions, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) asks for consent where it is required, and a Privacy options entry in the App lets you change your choice. See How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

4.3 Google Play Games (optional)

If you sign in to Google Play Games, your achievements and a cloud copy of your progress, settings and achievements are stored in your Google Play Games account by Google, not on our servers. In-progress levels are not uploaded. Signing in is never required to play.

4.4 Analytics and crash reports (version 1.1.0 onward)

From version 1.1.0, the App uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to record gameplay events, such as a level being started or completed or a hint being used, together with basic device and app information. It also uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to collect crash reports, such as the device model, operating system version and the state of the App when a crash happened. We use this information to fix bugs and improve the game. Earlier versions of the App do not include Firebase.

4.5 In-app review

After you clear campaign levels, the App may show Google Play's in-app review prompt. Any rating or review you leave is handled by Google Play under Google's terms.

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): analytics and advertising cookies on the Website, personalised ads in the App, and storing or reading information on your device where the law requires consent.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): operating the Website and App securely and reliably, and fixing crashes and errors. You can object to this processing at any time (see section 8).
  • Handling your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): replying when you contact us, including when you ask for help with a data request.

6. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell personal information. Data is processed by the service providers named in this policy (Google and GitHub). These providers may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Google and GitHub rely on mechanisms such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.

7. Retention

  • Game data on your device: until you delete it, clear the app or browser data, or uninstall.
  • Consent choices: stored in your browser until you change them or clear site data.
  • Website analytics: only for the retention period configured in our Google Analytics property.
  • Advertising, Firebase and Play Games data: according to Google's policies and settings.
  • Emails: kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data;
  • have it corrected;
  • have it deleted;
  • restrict processing, or object to it (including processing based on legitimate interests);
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.

To withdraw consent on the Website, clear this site's data in your browser or wait for Google's consent message to appear again. In the App, use Privacy options.

Because we do not run accounts or game servers, most data is either on your device, where you can delete it yourself, or held by Google. We will help with any request as far as we can. Contact: giga.sichinava@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl. You can also complain to the authority in your own EU country.

9. How to delete your data

  • Android: go to Settings → Apps → Spaceblox → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the App. You can also use Reset profile in the game's Options to erase your progress.
  • Google Play Games cloud data: manage it in your Google account or Play Games settings, or contact us for help.
  • Browser: clear the site data for geeks0n-byte.github.io in your browser settings.
  • Advertising ID: reset or delete it in your device's privacy settings.

10. Children

The Website and our games are not directed at children under 13. In the EEA, where data-protection rules require parental consent below a certain age, they are also not directed at anyone under 16 (the age that applies in Poland), or the age set by the law of your country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal data to us, email giga.sichinava@gmail.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when the games or the Website change. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page, together with the date of the update.

12. Contact
